Terms

Last updated 30 August 2026. English is the binding version; any translation is for convenience only.

1. What gift.ceo is

gift.ceo is a publishing platform. It hosts a public list of gifts that chief executives choose to announce under their own name and their company's name. gift.ceo is not a party to any gift, does not hold anything on behalf of a recipient, and does not act as an intermediary between a company and the people it gives to.

2. Who may take a seat

A seat may be taken only by a person who is the chief executive — or the equivalent most senior executive — of the company named, and who is authorised to publish on its behalf. You confirm this when you take the seat. Sign-in is restricted to Google Workspace accounts, and the seat is bound to the domain of that account. A personal mailbox cannot take a seat.

3. One seat, one company, once

Each company may hold one seat. The fee is 10,000 CHF, charged once, and there is nothing further to buy: no renewal, no ranking, no placement, no advertising. The seat belongs to the company rather than to the individual who bought it. If you cease to be chief executive, your successor may take the seat over by signing in with a Google Workspace account on the same domain.

4. The fee is not refundable

The seat fee is non-refundable once the seat has been activated. It buys the right to publish, not a result, an audience, or any level of attention. Payment is handled by Stripe; gift.ceo does not receive or store your card details.

5. What you publish

You are responsible for everything you publish. You confirm that each gift you describe is one your company genuinely intends to give, that you have the authority to commit the company to it, and that what you have written is accurate and not misleading. Do not publish anything unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, or infringing, anything that discloses another person's private information, or anything that is in substance an advertisement rather than a gift.

6. Gifts are yours, not ours

A gift published here is a statement by the company that made it. gift.ceo does not verify, endorse, or guarantee any gift, and does not check whether it is delivered. Anyone relying on a gift deals with the company directly. Whether a published gift creates a binding obligation is a question for the law that applies between that company and the recipient; nothing on this site is legal advice.

7. Ending a gift

You may set a validity date on a gift, or end it at any time. Ending a gift changes how it is shown; it does not remove the record that it was given. Gifts are not deleted, because a public record that could be quietly rewritten would be worth nothing.

8. Removal and suspension

We may remove a gift or suspend a seat if we have good reason to believe these terms have been broken, if a person who is not the chief executive has published under a company's name, or if we are required to by law. Where the reason is a breach on your side, no refund is due. Where we suspend a seat for our own convenience and you are not at fault, we will refund the fee in full.

9. Availability

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change how it works. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the seat fee you paid.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change materially reduces what you get for a seat already paid for, the version in force when you paid continues to apply to that seat.

11. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Switzerland have jurisdiction, save where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
